Officials announced the probe in July after Brussels began examining whether Chinese state subsidies undermine European competition.
Official Beijing has consistently denied that its industrial policies are unfair and has threatened to take action against the EU to protect the legal rights and interests of Chinese companies.
The Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday that the implementation of the EU’s Foreign Subsidy Regulation (FSR) discriminates against Chinese firms and “sets up trade and investment barriers”.
However, it was not mentioned whether Beijing plans to take action in response, reports AFP.
