Strikes will disrupt traffic in London on Tuesday and Thursday as some London Underground drivers stage two 24-hour strikes over proposed changes to working hours.
The RMT union said on Monday the strikes would go ahead because employer Transport for London had “failed to provide assurances on the deep-seated concerns of our members” about fatigue, reduced flexibility and shift lengths.
TfL has expressed its disappointment that the union has decided to strike, despite assurances about the new working pattern.
The union called off planned strikes last month to allow further talks with TfL.
