The Federation’s decision was condemned by numerous sports stars and politicians who sided with the fans, known for their long-term support of the national team. Today, the football players themselves spoke, and their message was conveyed to the public by the captain Edin Dzeko.
He announced on social networks a joint statement from the players asking the Federation to reconsider its decision and enable fan groups to come to the stands:
