Migrants who want to settle in the United Kingdom will have to have a job, not receive fees and perform socially useful work, judging by plans that the internal minister will present the Minister of Internal Affairs on Monday.
Currently, those with the family in Britain and who live there for five years are the conditions for “unlimited permission of stay” – permanent residence – as well as those who legally live in the United Kingdom ten years with any type of visa.
Qualified applicants who meet these conditions also acquire the right to life, work and study in the United Kingdom and the right to submit a claim for compensation and British citizenship.
However, in a large political change, the Minister of the Interior Shaban Mahmood publishes that migrants will have to pay social security contributions, not receiving fees, have a clean criminal record and volunteer in their community to stay.
Mahmood will present plans at the annual conference of the ruling Labor Party, and the government will be consulted on change this year, the statement to the public is stated.
