The Brics Leaders were sharply condemned the air attacks that were performed in June, the United States and Israel on the territory of Iran, calling them “obvious violations of international law.”
In the joint declaration published on Sunday, during the summit in Brazilian Rio de Janeir, the leaders also expressed strong support for the formation of an independent Palestinian state.
However, the declaration completely sent a war in Ukraine, although Russia – one of the founders of Brics – directly involved as an aggressor. Instead, the document criticized Ukrainian attacks on Russia’s territory, with carefully selected words and without mentioning Moscow’s responsibility.
The Declaration, in the midst of rising trade tensions with the United States, condemned “aggressive economic policies”, but without direct guidance of the US President Donald Trump. Almost all 10 members of Brics currently runs sensitive trade negotiations with the United States and seek to keep the balance in diplomatic expression.
Donald Trump reacted to the Declaration, by ordering the Truth Social platform that any country that would join the “anti-American politics” Brics will be faced with additional customs.
“Each country to join Brics’s anti-American politics will be charged an additional ten percent. There will be no exceptions from this policy,” Trump ordered.
The Rio Summit was led by Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Although most states represented their leaders, three were absent: Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the newly elected Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Brics currently brings together ten members: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, United Arab Emirates and Indonesia.
