Dominik Livaković has finally returned to Dinamo, the club confirmed via their official profile.
The 31-year-old goalkeeper arrives on loan until the end of the season from the Turkish Fenerbahçe after not defending for the entire half-season on loan in the Spanish Girona. Dinamo will pay the Turkish club compensation of around 200 thousand euros.
His transfer does not yet include the right of redemption, but it is certain that it will Dinamo and Fenerbahce will negotiate about it until the end of the current season. Let us remind you that the Croatian goalkeeper became redundant last season when Jose Mourinho was the coach.
His salary of approximately two million euros per year is a burden for Fenerbahce, and since they don’t need him, they don’t even want him to fill a single place in the quota of foreigners allowed in the club.

Livaković has not made his debut in Girona since arriving on loan from Fenerbahce in the summer and wants to move to Dinamo Zagreb in order to play regularly before the World Cup in June. Sports director of Dinamo Dario Dabacas well as the president of the club Zvonimir Bobanthey said that they are actively working to bring Livaković.
Livaković defended 293 times for Dinamo before he left for Fenerbahce in the summer of 2023 with a compensation of 6.6 million euros. In the first season and half of the second season, he was the first goalkeeper of Fenerbahçe, but then in the second part of the last season, Jose Mourinho demoted him to the bench.
Livaković stayed there at the beginning of this season, but he got a chance to play in two Fenerbahce games. The one on August 31st against Genclerbirligi, in which his club won 3:1, is the last club game in which Livaković defended this season, although he then changed clubs. Transfermarkt estimates his value at 4 million eurosreports Index.hr.
