The team from Banja Luka was in control of the game during most of the match, and the question of the winner was already resolved at the very beginning of the game. In the 8th minute, the first scorer of the league, Luka Juričić, shook the home team’s net, after an excellent assist from Sandi Ogrinec, who has been in great form lately.
After the initial balance of power, Radnik tried to respond quickly through Đorđe Pantelić, but Siniša Saničanin intervened in time and prevented the danger in front of Mladen Jurkas’ goal.
Borac was very close to another goal in the 25th minute – Amer Hiroš shot hard, but it hit the goal post which was defended by Elvir Trako.
By the end of the first half, the tempo dropped a bit, and in the 36th minute, a VAR check was also seen due to a possible handball by Andrija Marković after Damir Hrelja’s shot. However, the referees assessed that there were no elements for a penalty kick.
At the end of the first half, Borac threatened again, first through Hiroš, and then after a corner when Hrelja headed over the goal. We went on vacation with a minimal advantage of guests.
The second half opened with a somewhat calmer game, until the 56th minute when Juričić went alone in front of the goal after a pass from Viktor Rogan, but the ball ended up over the crossbar.
Borac had another good chance in the 72nd minute, when the running Hiroš broke through on the right side and found Juričić, but this time too, the realization was missed.
The most dangerous moment for Radnik was seen in the 77th minute. Danilo Teodorović sent a strong shot with his left foot, but Jurkas once again showed confidence and saved his team’s advantage with a great defense.
At the very end of the game, Stojan Vranješ also threatened, but his shot was stopped without any major problems by goalkeeper Trako.
The fighter maintained a minimal advantage until the end of the match and reached an important three points, thus returning to the leading position of the BiH Premier League, after today’s victory of Zrinjski in Prijedor against Rudar.
