The foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) at the end of November 2024 amounted to 17.21 billion KM and on an annual level increased by 1.52 billion KM (9.7 percent).
According to CBBH data on monetary trends, total loans to domestic sectors at the end of November 2024 amounted to 25.58 billion KM and compared to the previous month, an increase in loans of 206.6 million KM (0.8 percent) was recorded.
Credit growth was registered in all sectors: households for 72.4 million KM (0.6 percent), private companies for 73.2 million KM (0.7 percent), government institutions for 20.1 million KM (1.6 percent ), non-financial public companies for 16.2 million KM (2.9 percent) and for other domestic sectors for 24.8 million KM (9.2 percent).
Deposit increases
The annual growth rate of total loans in November was 9.8 percent, nominally 2.28 billion KM. Annual credit growth was registered in the household sector by 1.07 billion KM (9.1 percent), in private companies by 967.4 million KM (10.1 percent), in government institutions by 190.5 million KM (17.4 percent) and in other domestic sectors for 76.1 million KM (34.7 percent). A decrease in credit growth at the annual level was recorded in non-financial public companies by 26.3 million KM (4.4 percent).
Total deposits of domestic sectors at the end of November 2024 amounted to 33.26 billion KM, and compared to the previous month, deposits increased by 234.9 million KM (0.7 percent).
The increase in deposits on a monthly level was registered in the household sector by 130 million KM (0.8 percent), in private companies by 126.1 million KM (1.6 percent), in government institutions by 5.7 million KM (0.1 percent) and in other domestic sectors for 19.9 million KM (one percent). Deposits at non-financial public companies decreased by 46.7 million KM (2.3 percent) on a monthly basis.
The annual growth rate of total deposits in November 2024 was 7.5 percent, which in absolute terms is 2.33 billion KM. The annual growth of deposits was registered in the household sector by 1.56 billion KM (ten percent), in private companies by 867.3 million KM (12.3 percent), in non-financial public companies by 25.8 million KM (1.3 percent ) and other domestic sectors by 129.9 million KM (7.2 percent). Deposits at government institutions decreased by 260.4 million KM (5.8 percent) on an annual basis.
