In the fifth round of the Champions League, Benfica beat Ajax 2-0 on the road, while Union Saint-Gilloise defeated Galatasaray 1-0 in Istanbul.
Benfica registered in Amsterdam just the first victory this season in the Champions League, while Ajax suffered their fifth defeat.
The Portuguese giants took the lead in the sixth minute with a goal by Samuel Dahl.
Georgi Sudakov threw in from the corner, Richard Rios shot a header, Vitezsla Jaros saved, but the ball bounced to Dahla who scored brilliantly to give the guests the lead. The goal was checked, but everything was regular, so referee Sven Jablonski pointed to the center.
