Swimmers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Slovenia and Serbia took part in the competition, and SPID competitors won 11 gold, seven silver and nine bronze medals.
In the seven-member team, the current world and Paralympic vice-champion Ismail Barlov led the way with five gold medals, and in the women’s competition Kanita Šabanović with three golds, one silver and two bronzes.
Hena Godinjak won three bronzes, Kenan Kovačević also added three bronzes and one silver and one gold each. Ahmed Mašetić won silver and bronze, Jasmin Stanar won two golds and one silver, while Pavle Marić won two silvers.
– Traditionally, our competitors left an excellent impression at the Open National Championship of Serbia. We are pleased with the progression of the results of our swimmers, which is the best announcement of everything that awaits us in the rest of the season – it was announced from the SPID Swimming Club.
The team in Novi Sad was led by coaches Ilda Kukuruzović and Aleksa Aliksić.
