Germany’s foreign ministry said it expects the new Syrian government to guarantee equal rights for women and men, as well as protection for all ethnic and religious groups. France expressed hope for a sovereign, stable and peaceful Syria. The minister and the minister put on bulletproof vests for their visit to Syria.
