Congratulating this significant jubilee all generations of club members, trainers, enthusiasts, in his occasion, pointed out that Hockejasi Bosnia was not only athletes, but were pioneers, the Fighters and Ambassadors of Sarajevo.
– They, side by basketball players, chessists, and many other USD Bosnia sections, showed that our city can create champions, but also to know the sport as a value united by Avdić.
Speaking about the glorious past club, Avdić said that HK Bosna in 1980 became one of the biggest sports phenomena in Sarajevo.
– He was a little who could have imagined hockey, a sport that was exotic for many, filling the hall Zetra and attract thousands of fans. And that’s exactly what happened. Bosnia’s hockeyes played in the first Yugoslav league and his brave performances and sports Žealo became a symbol of a new energy in our city – he said.
With the desires that the Hockey Club Bosna reestablish a quality sports segment as part of the city’s hockey community, the mayor said that the city of Sarajevo will stand with sports, with young people and all those who believe in the value of community, persistence and fair games.
