The Board of Directors of the Fund for Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities has adopted new regulations that improve the conditions for exercising the right to incentive funds from the Fund, and at the beginning of August it is expected to publish public invitations worth 20.3 million KM.
One of the most significant novelties relates to the expansion of the circle of beneficiaries who can receive support from the Fund. Namely, in addition to persons with disabilities with an established degree of disability of 60% or more, who have been able to apply for financial incentives for new employment, from now on, persons with an established degree of disability of 50%. Employers can apply for financial incentives for new employment of persons with a determined degree of disability from 50% under general conditions (on the open labor market, in state bodies, judicial bodies, local government bodies, public services, institutions, funds, public companies, companies and other legal entities that were not established for the employment of persons with disabilities, in accordance with the Law), which further encourages the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the open labor market.
Also, persons with disabilities with a determined degree of disability of 50% can apply for professional rehabilitation programs (LOT III) worth up to 7,000.00 KMwhich enable the financing or co-financing of part-time secondary and higher education, further training and retraining, professional exams, training, courses (including IT, foreign languages and driving test), and the acquisition of aids and equipment necessary for a person with a disability to study and work.
This expansion of the circle of beneficiaries was made possible thanks to the fact that the Fund has sufficient financial resources, which created the conditions for persons with disabilities with a determined degree of disability of 50% to exercise their right to support.
We inform the public that the Fund is intensively carrying out activities on the preparation of two public calls of total value 20.3 millionand for:
– Public call for awarding a financial incentive for new employment of persons with disabilities in 2026 in the amount of 12 million KM;
– Public call for the allocation of funds for the financing and co-financing of the employment sustainability program, the development of companies for the employment of persons with disabilities and protective workshops, and the program of professional rehabilitation of persons with disabilities in the year 2026, in the value of 8.3 million KM.
The publication of public invitations is planned for the first half of August 2026.
