At least 21 people were killed, and almost 30 was injured when the bus rolled over on Saturday in southern Iran, the state media reported.
The accident, whose cause remains unclear, happened near Kavar, about 1,000 kilometers from the capital Tehran.
– Unfortunately, 21 deaths were recorded – said Cavar Hospital Director, Mohsen Afrasiabi, State Television, adding that 29 people were injured.
Iranian media showed pictures of the bus that lies on the side on the mountain road.
Iran has a bad reputation on road safety, with almost 20,000 deaths in traffic accidents in 12 months to March, judging by the official newspaper IRNA, Reuters reports.
