Uroš Nikolić was detained in an international police operation in which a total of ten people were detained, according to Belgrade media.
On the Euroleague website, it is stated that he was a referee at the matches of this competition and he should be heard today at the Public Prosecutor’s Office for organized crime in Serbia.
In the announcement of the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime, it is stated that in this operation, persons with the following initials: B.S, U.N, S.M, M.A, N.O, MT and M.Ć were arrested in Šabac, three persons: Đ. T, SM and D. G, as well as three persons abroad: M. Đ, AO and V. M, two of them in Spain.
The aforementioned persons, members of the organized criminal group, so-called Vračar residents and organized criminal groups that closely cooperate with them are deprived of their liberty due to the existence of reasonable suspicion that they have committed criminal acts of association for the purpose of committing criminal acts from Art. 346, aggravated murder from Article 114 and causing general danger from Article 278 of the CC.
