The meeting, which is held in parallel with negotiations between Israel, Hamas and the Egyptian Resort Sharm El-Sheikh on the Red Sea, aims to discuss the plan proposed by US President Donald Trump and assess the collective obligations of the participating countries.
Reuters reported that, according to the notes, the meeting would follow the conference on the “two-state solution” in the United Nations, Saudi Arabia and France, whose goal is to agree to contribute to the American Gaza Plan.
The two-state solution would include an independent Palestinian state with Israel.
The note states that the participation of Washington will depend on progress in the negotiations in Egypt.
The European Diplomatic Source said that the United States is crucial to be present. The Italian diplomatic source emphasized the importance of support to the Trump Plan, which is the “only possible”.
The French diplomatic source said that the United States and Israel were informed of the meeting plans, and the agenda will include humanitarian assistance for Gaza and the renovation of the enclave and supporting the Palestinian Administration and the Palestinian Iguracy forces.
The US Embassy in Paris was not immediately available for comment, Reuters reports.
