The event was held under the auspices of Erola Avdović, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Kingdom of Belgium.
The commemoration was attended by numerous representatives of diplomatic and cultural life, including Martin Kotthaus, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Belgium; Maxa Valstara, Deputy Head of the Mission of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Belgium, as well as representatives of the Austrian Cultural Forum at the Embassy of the Republic of Austria in Belgium.
The gathering was also held with the support of members of the European Parliament from the ranks of the European People’s Party and Green.
The program ‘Srebrenica: 11 Lesson for the future’ authors dr. Hikmet Karčić, and recalls universal messages of tragedies in Srebrenica and the importance of her permanent memory.
A special contribution to the evening gave a unique artistic segment in the production of the Cultural Association of Art Alive. Artists Aldina Topčagić (Movement, Celebrator Art Alive), Marreta Teskeredžić (Violin) performed a touching performance “8372 seconds”, including ‘Srebrenica Inferno’, who has left a strong impression on the present.
The participants of this event were paid to victims, minutes of silence, while speakers emphasized the responsibility of the international community and the importance of permanent education on Srebrenica genocide.
“Special gratitude was sent to Elmi Oručević, for its coordination and contribution to the organization of this significant event,” the Association of Art Alive.
