After the long media silence and boxing break, Alen Babic again appeared in public – this time as a guest podcast incubator, the most viewed regional podcast.
Behind him is a period of withdrawal from professional sports and public life, which was not induced only by defeating Johnny Fisherabut also inner oversight and search for deeper answers.
In the months after a heavy defeat, Babic completely disappeared from social networks, avoided the media and refused return to Ring, despite concrete bids for fighting. He decided, in his own words, find the cause of his problems, and that led him to the team of neurologists – medical he entrusted his mental and physical confusion, writes the Fight site.
Every test I did showed that I am a perfectly healthy person. My friends didn’t believe me, but the waist said his own. I wanted to tell me that I can’t box anymore.
But the search doesn’t care about the boundary of science. On a suggestion of friends and boxing colleagues, Damira Beljehe has done a step that has avoided by the years – He entered the church and opened up the spiritual dimension neglected for more than a decade.
I was not 15 years old in the church. At the recommendation of Damir Belje and driven by his advice, I visited several priests. I started visiting the church with my wife Klar’s wifeAnd then my life suddenly became beautiful. I was obviously a mentally ill, and all that helped me a lot. That double path – through medical analysis and spiritual questioning was marked by Babić’s return, not only in the media, but also towards themselves. It was not just a recovery process of a boxer, but a man who demanded meaning outside the spotlight, knockout and title.
Although he has not yet returned to Ring, Babic did not say the last word. The return of the boxing career remains an open chapter, but this time with a different substrate – personal and spiritual. In 34. years, with a recognizable name and style that leaves no one indifferent, in front of him is a new stage. Where will it start, with whom and in which direction – it will depend on how deep he deeply entered into his problems.
