The plan relates to Allianz Partners, a travel and car insurance company. According to the newspaper, the company plans to redirect simple requests through the call center to artificial intelligence in the future.
Allianz Partners neither confirmed nor denied the allegations.
– We are still in the early stages of testing the changes and we will see where they will take us – said the company representative without further comment.
Zidojče states that Allianz Partners plans to replace jobs with artificial intelligence in several countries – now it has 22,600 employees, of which 1,600 are in Germany.
The debate over whether automation and digitization will make many jobs in the financial sector redundant has been going on for years.
The Allianz Group, headquartered in Munich, has employed around 9,000 workers in the past 10 years, and at the end of 2024, it had 156,626 workers worldwide, reports SEEbiz.
