“She asked me: what are you going to use that sword for?” he said in court. “Are you going to knit with him? Then I made a playful gesture towards her and the accident happened.”
The Värmland court did not believe this explanation. According to the judges, it was an intentional murder. The man was tested for mental disorders, but it was found that there are none.
Today it was announced that he was sentenced to life in prison. The court considers that he acted with a clear intention to kill his wife, which is evident from the fact that he did nothing to stop his wife’s heavy bleeding.
