Police officers of the State Agency for Investigation and Protection in cooperation with police officers of the MUP of the Una Sana Canton, the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federal Police Administration, the Police Directorate of the MUP of the Sarajevo Canton, and officers of the Service for Affairs with Foreigners of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the support of the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Una Sana Canton, together with the police officers of the MUP of the Republic of Croatia, within the OTF Zebra, are conducting a coordinated operational action codenamed “East Swot”.
The operational action is being carried out in the area of Velika Kladuša and Sisak Moslavina County, and is aimed at preventing and detecting Afghan organized criminal groups that were operating in the border zone between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia and that are suspected of committing the criminal offenses of “Organizing a group or association to commit the criminal offense of migrant smuggling” and “People smuggling” prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the criminal offenses of “Organized Crime” by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina. “Kidnapping”, “Extortion”, “Illegal possession of weapons or explosive substances” prescribed by the Criminal Code of the Federal Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Over 300 police officers from police bodies from Bosnia and Herzegovina and police officers from the MUP of the Republic of Croatia were engaged in the “East Swot” operation, who jointly and coordinated operational tactical measures and actions in the area of Velika Kladuša and the border areas of Gradina, Grljevac, Zborište and Stabanža.
