Former Hollywood actress Dalyce Curry, known for her roles as an extra in The Ten Commandments and The Blues Brothers, has tragically died at the age of 96 in a fire that engulfed her home in Altadena, California.
Her remains were found at the site of her former home, which was completely destroyed in the so-called Eaton Fire.
A certificate of recovery was issued by the coroner on Sunday, January 12, 2025, while news of her death was shared on social media by her great-granddaughter, Dallyce Kelley, who wrote on Facebook: “About an hour ago the coroner confirmed that they were found her remains”.
Dallyce Kelley, who was also Dalyce Curry’s caregiver, said she last saw her great-grandmother Tuesday night when she drove her home after a hospital visit.
The actress known as Momma D also starred in “Lady Sings the Blues”, was 95 years old and has long since retired.
