Namely, the cleaner (45) discovered about nine kilograms of cocaine in the apartment for rent in Engerthstraße, which, as it is assumed, was hidden in the sofa.
According to the media, the woman reacted correctly and immediately informed the police. Not long after, police officers from the Leopoldgase station arrived at the scene and found the 34-year-old tenant of the apartment, a citizen of Serbia.
He claimed that he was just waiting to re-enter the accommodation, as the cleaner had previously locked it.
Together with the suspect, the police entered the apartment, seized the drugs and arrested the man. When asked about whose cocaine it was, he did not want to make a statement. By order of the Viennese prosecutor’s office, the 34-year-old was taken into custody.
