In the Italian city of Bolzano, the promotion of the book “Srebrenica 30” was held, a project on which Andrea Rizza Goldsten, coordinator from the Arci Nacionale Bolzano foundation, journalist Dragan Bursać and Hasan Nuhanović worked.
The book Srebrenica 30 tells about the genocide through pictures and words without propaganda layers and platitudes, it shows people what happened in the nineties in the Balkans, but even more so why it happened. It is a book of truth, admonition and remembrance.
Bursać said that it was a great honor for him to have participated as a co-author in the creation of this book, in writing that stands side by side with the words of a man who is a witness to the greatest darkness and the greatest courage of our time, Hasan Nuhanović.
Nuhanović, a surviving witness of the genocide in Srebrenica, author of two books Under the flag of the UN and Zbijeg, a man who dedicated his life to truth and justice, told the audience about the most difficult period of his life, the places of torture, suffering, killing, the place of genocide, and the period after the end of the war.
Consul Arijana Džogović thanked Nuhanović, Bursać and Goldstein for their extraordinary efforts and perseverance in spreading the truth about the genocide in Srebrenica. She also thanked Eva Unterhiner, the president of the Teatro Zappa Theater Association, the financier of the Srebrenica 30 project, as well as all other projects she works on for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sergio Banagura, the director of Arci Nacional Bolzano, Edgar Libri, Teatro Zappa Merano in partnership with Arci Bolzano-Bozen, the Autonomous Province of Bolzano-South Tyrol and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and others who participated in publishing the book Srebrenica 30.
The promotion was attended by Sergio Bonagura, director of Arci Nacional Bolzano, Stefan Petrungara, assistant professor of history and Eastern Europe at Ca Foscari University in Venice, Eva Unterhiner from theatro Zappa and Arijana Džogović, consul at the Consulate General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Milan.
At the end of the promotion, the audience could take a copy of the book “Srebrenica 30”.
