Today, the Government’s headquarters are signed in the transfer of funds and municipalities in the Zenica-Doboj Canton for the implementation of road infrastructure projects. Funds in the total amount of 2,800,000 KM were given through the public invitation to the Ministry of Physical Planning, Transport and Communications and Environmental Protection – Cantonal Roads Directorate.
Contracts with the mayors, the principles of the municipalities and representatives of local communities were signed by the Director of the Cantonal Directorate for Roads, within the Ministry of Physical Planning, Transport and Communications and Environmental Protection ZDK, Nandino Škrbić.
– The Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton works according to the principles of transparency and all funds we share local communities are awarded through a public call. Representatives of local communities delegate projects that consider important. In this way, we jointly implement strategic projects in the area of the entire canton. With this practice, we continue next year, with the planned separation of significant funds – said Prime Minister Nezir Pivić.
The Minister of Physical Planning, Transport and Communications and Environmental Protection Adnan Shabani emphasized that it is projects that are realized at the local level. Apart from Doboj South and Usor, which delegated one project, all other municipalities and cities were supported by two projects.
– Funds are not intended exclusively for tourist destinations, but also local roads relevant to municipalities and cities. The city of Zenica received the largest amount – almost half a million convertible marks, of which 400,000 KM is intended for the continuation of the phase rehabilitation and asphalting the local road to the sports and recreational tourist area of the Smalls.
The Mayor of Visoko Mirza Ganić said that a significant number of projects in his local community is financed by the Canton, thanked by the Government’s representatives.
The city highly passed with two projects. For the reconstruction of the road through the industrial zone of Ozrakovići and the rehabilitation of the streets of Kadija Uzajs and Bosnia Srebrene, is committed to 145,000 KM. For rehabilitation of the part of the road in the settlement of Hlapčevići, an additional 80,000 KM was allocated.
Ganić emphasized that today’s signing of the contract is the result of a broader road construction project that leads to the business zone of Ozraković, the important and infrastructure aspect, because “that road presents the city high.” The total value of the project is about 1.5 million KM.
The Mayor of Kakanj Mirnes Bajtarević said that the municipality applies the Projects of the Drawers’ Street in the Uzći urban area, as well as part of the road towards Ponijei picnic areas, where the only ski resort in ZDK is located.
– We continue to invest in the development of the tourist offer. It is a traffic sign that we need to build to improve the quality of tourist infrastructure and attract visitors from other local communities during the winter – said Bajtarević.
The Mayor of Žepče Mato Zovko pointed out that infrastructure projects in that municipality are ready for the realization, and that in their implementation, the key cooperation between the cantonal and municipal authorities “becomes more concrete.
A contract was signed for the reconstruction of three roads: in local communities Iron Polje, Begov Han and Orlovik Street in the suburban settlement through. Zovko announced the rapid implementation of the allocated funds and a new application to the public call and next year.
Prime Minister Nezir Pivić emphasized that, despite a significant increase in salaries for more than 9,000 budget users, the Government of the Budget Year ends without indebtedness, which confirms that the “Hosts are managed” funds in the budget.
He added that he would like to see a similar approach and at higher levels of government, reminding that the Government of the Federation BiH shared 275 million KM for road infrastructure lower levels – where the ZDC was omitted.
– We have a different, honest approach. We invite all municipalities and cities to participate in public calls and delegate projects, because they know best what are the needs of citizens. I am satisfied with the cooperation with representatives of local communities – Prime Minister Pivic concluded.
