On July 10, 2026, the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina conducted extensive inspection controls throughout the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the data show that a significant number of irregularities were found in the area of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
In ZDK, 36 inspections of taxpayers in the field of catering, trade, construction, bakery and other service activities were carried out. During the controls, 53 registered workers and 11 unregistered workers were found.
The inspectors also discovered eight facilities that operated without the approval of the competent authority, ten taxpayers who did not have a fiscal device installed, and 15 taxpayers who did not record turnover through the fiscal cash register.
Due to the irregularities found, five facilities were sealed, while in 18 cases misdemeanor orders were issued with a total of fines in the amount of 29,000 KM.
During one inspection in the area of the Zenica-Doboj canton, the inspectors had the assistance of members of the competent cantonal Ministry of Internal Affairs.
At the level of the Federation of BiH, a total of 238 inspections were carried out on the same day. The controls included 511 registered workers, and 47 unregistered ones were discovered. The inspectors recorded 14 facilities that operated without approval, 17 taxpayers without a fiscal device, and 89 taxpayers who did not register turnover through the fiscal cash register.
Due to established irregularities, 26 facilities were sealed throughout the Federation, and in 123 cases, misdemeanor orders were issued with total fines of 360,200 KM.
The results of the controls show that as many as 52 percent of the controlled taxpayers did not harmonize their operations with the applicable regulations.
