German tennis player Alexander Zverev reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open Grand Slam tournament in Melbourne.
The second tennis player on the ATP list beat the American in the quarterfinals Tommy Paul with 7:6, 7.6, 2:6, 6:1 and won a place among the top four in Melbourne for the third time. Zverev won the first two sets in a similar fashion, coming back from a break down and saving a set point.

To be honest, I should have lost the first two sets. He was better than me. I didn’t play well and he did. Somehow I won the first set, somehow the second and suddenly I was up by two sets and needed one more. The fourth set was definitely the best and I am extremely happy to have made it to the semi-finals, Zverev said in an on-court interview right after the match.
His next opponent will be the better of the match Novak Djokovic – Carlos Alcaraz.
