Croatian 20-year-old skier Zrinka Ljutić won first place in the slalom race in Slovenia’s Kranjska Gora.
With a new victory Zrinka sat at the top of the World Cup standings, and this is the first victory for Croatia in Kranjska Gora. It is her second sensational victory in a row in the slalom.
After the first ride Angry was tied for first place with Switzerland’s Wendy Holdener. In the second, she showed with a fantastic ride that she is currently the best slalom skier in the world.
She won the second place Wendy Holdenerand the third is a Swedish woman Anna Swenn Larsson.
“I felt good, I drove aggressively the whole track, I think I could have done a little better in the last part. Thanks to all Croats, this is just the beginning. Thanks also to the home fans“, she underlined.
By the way, today is my birthday Janica Kostelić and on this day she did that legendary race without a stick on Ridgewhen the third crossed the finish line.
With a new 100 points, Zrinka leads the World Cup with a total of 456 points ahead of Sweden’s Sara Hector (447) and Switzerland’s Camille Rast (433). In the slalom standings, the 20-year-old from Zagreb leads with 309 points ahead of Rast (305).
