Sarajevo coach Zoran Zekić reflected on the departure of Renan Oliveira to FC La Equidad from Colombia.
The Brazilian striker has been almost indispensable in the attack of the Bordeaux club for the last two years, for a time he played in top form, but a decline followed.
That Oliveira is a quality player was also acknowledged by Zekić, who nevertheless said that leaving was the best option.
“He is in a specific situation, we expected a lot from him. There is saturation. There are no secrets. He is a quality that we don’t have, but it was best for him to change the environment,” said the Croatian expert in a statement for Nova BH.
By the way, Renan Oliveira went to La Equidad on a half-year loan, and his contract with Sarajevo is valid until the summer of 2026.
