The Federal Employment Service (FZZZ) continues with active employment policies in the Federation of BiH, with a special focus on young people. During 2023. and 2024. Year through various labor programs, self-employment and training, almost 10,000 people under the age of 30 are covered.
The Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Nermin Nikšić emphasized that investing in young people is a strategic goal of the Government. “Young people are the most valuable resource we have. Ensuring their development opportunities to build a more competitive and resistant Federation. It is our vision of the future, and these programs are the path to its realization,” Nikšić said.
Only during 2024. year, in cooperation with cantonal employment services, 11,682 unemployed were covered, of which 4,710 youth. Through joint projects, 668 persons employed, 145 training passed, while 300 participated in volunteer activities. Additional Cantonal Services Programs included more 3,743 users, among which young people made up a significant part.
Similar results were also recorded in 2023. years, when the Institute included 12,375 unemployed, including 4,987 youth. The director of the FZZZ Helena Lončar pointed out that behind statistics are actual human stories. “Through target programs, we do not offer only jobs, but also skills, mentoring and support. Every young man who remains and works in the Federation of BiH is not only a number, but confirmation that our strategy gives results,” Lončar said.
For 2025. year the Institute announced new specialized programs – “Youth with experience”, “Employment of the trainee”, “I’m looking for an employer” and “Start Up”. It is planned to participate more than 10,500 unemployed, with the support of more than 101 million KM. In addition to the focus on young, additional emphasis will be placed on the digitization of the process and strengthening entrepreneurship.
