The first round of the World Handball Championship ended with the match between Croatia and Egypt, which ended with the defeat of the Croatian handball players with a score of 28:24.

The opponents of the Croatian national team will be national teams Slovenia, Iceland and the winner of tomorrow’s game in between Cape Verde Islands and Cubathat is, the African representative, if she ends up without a winner.
Croatia will now have two days of rest, i.e. two days without matches, and will return to the Arena Zagreb field on Wednesday, January 22.

On the other hand, it is possible to go further even in the case of one defeat, if the circle for second place were to be closed with three national teams with six points each (three wins and two losses), but these are already stronger calculations.
All in all, the best news after the match against Egypt is that the first game in the second round will be the easiest, that is, that the national team have five days until the first of two key games.
