Wayne Rooney has been sacked by Plymouth after a string of poor results in the Championship.
The team led by the famous 39-year-old recorded 13 defeats in 23 matches in the second division of England.
In the last visit to Oxford, the fans booed the entire team, and they recorded their sixth consecutive defeat and parting was inevitable.
“Plymouth will forever remain in my heart and I will continue to follow their results carefully,” was the end of Rooney’s statement after parting ways with the club, in which he thanked the entire administration, fans and players.
