Stan Wawrinka, the brilliant 40-year-old Swiss tennis player, has announced that next year will be his last in a great career.
Every book has an end, and mine is next year write my last chaptersaid Wawrinka and added that next season he wants to test the limits he can reach at this age, but also to end his great career in a positive way.

During his career, Wawrinka won 16 ATP tournamentsand out of that he was the best at Grand Slam tournaments three times.
He celebrated at the Australian Open in 2014, then a year later he triumphed in Roland Garros after a brilliant final performance in which he beat Novak Djokovic in four sets, while he was the best at the US Open in 2016.
In Melbourne, he was better than Nadal in the final, and in New York also better than Djokovic.
Although he spent his entire career in the shadow of the three best tennis players of all time, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, he grabbed his share of fame and was the third tennis player in the ATP rankings.

With Federer, he won the gold medal in doubles at the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008, and six years later he was also the winner of the Davis Cup.
