In China, shipments fell 8.4 percent to 2.02 million vehicles, partly attributed to strong competition from local electric car makers.

In contrast, in Europe, sales increased by 5.1 percent to 1.32 million vehicles, while in South America an even stronger growth of 18.5 percent to 568,000 vehicles was recorded.
Sales of electric ID models remained almost unchanged, with 382,000 vehicles delivered, a slight decrease of 0.2 percent compared to 2024.
In Europe, sales of Volkswagen’s electric models increased by almost 50 percent to 248,000 vehicles, and in Germany, a growth of more than 60 percent was recorded, to 94,000 cars.
In 2025, car sales of the entire Volkswagen Group fell by 0.5 percent, according to an earlier report, reports Tanjug.
