Today, 13.08.2025. The delegation of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina was staying in the official visit to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton. The members of the delegation received and hosted the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Emir Vraco and was attended by the Police Commissioner of the Admir Gazić.
In the introductory part of the meeting, Minister Vraco thanked the OSCE Mission to the Visit, and stretched the importance of the Mission to the Ministry of Domestic and Capacity, as well as in the field of training of police officers to improve the institutional response to all security challenges of modern society. Likewise, he pointed out the importance of the SALW project, which implemented the OSCE mission in BiH with the aim of BiH’s support in relieving security risks related to illegal possession, abuse and arms and ammunition.
As confirmed by the members of the delegation, this visit is the continuation of the implementation of the designated project, whose current implementation of one joint engagement and cooperation has significantly improved the situation in the field of small and easy weapons in BiH.
In terms of project activities and goals, the special focus in the talks was placed on the development of the Special Police Unit within which the Police Development and Development of the Ministry of the Interior of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, as a good example of organizing this specific police structure.
