Air India plane crashed this morning at the airport in the Western Indian city of Ahmedabad, the television stations reported there, not stating whether there were dead.

According to the information source from the aviations mentioned for Reuters, the plane was on the way to Birmingham in the UK.

The accident occurred during take-off, reports the reports, and the recordings from the events show the remnants of the aircraft in flames and thick black smoke that rises into the sky near the runway.

According to Indian media, there was more than 100 passengers on the plane. Evacuation scenes are also shown – persons on the stretches were transferred to emergency assistance vehicles.

For now, there are no official information about the causes of the accident or about the number of injured or suffered. Rescue services are on the ground, and intensive search and rescue surgery is due.

Authorities have not yet published official data nor was Air India. The investigation on the causes of fall is ongoing.
