Plavčić was born on May 17, 1972 in Travnik and holds a UEFA Pro license, and during his rich coaching career he led clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Germany.
He was the coach of SC Rhunda, KSV Baunatal, NK Viteza, FK Rudara from Kakanj, NK Novi Travnik, Grebenstein, SV 1910 Neuhof and FSV Wolfhagen. His last engagement was in SFK 2000 Sarajevo as head coach.
– The position of the Academy coordinator is one of the key functions in the development of the club, as it involves strategic planning of the work of youth selections, harmonization of coaching philosophy across all ages, supervision of professional work and creation of a clear development path for young footballers towards the first team.
The arrival of Plavčić to this position is part of the club’s long-term commitment to strengthening the youth drive and systemic development of the Academy, stated Čelik.
The previous coordinator Nizah Hukić, announced from the Zenica club, will take over another position within the Academy.
Valentino’s son, Zvonimir Plavčić, as they point out from Čelik, played for the youth selections of NK Čelik and in 2020 he transferred to the German Paderborn, which confirms the connection of the Plavčić family with the black and red club.
