It is possible to expect that Moscow will launch the initiative to maintain an open session of the Security Council, especially if the situation in BiH is worsening. During his address, Russia said Milorad Dodik soon traveled to Moscow.
Russia’s representative criticized the OHR, saying no legitimacy, that the institution with such authority is resembling the colonial system. However, the French and British refused to be the focus of the consultation by emphasizing that the theme was the action of the President of the RS Milorad Dodik.
The Americans once again confirmed the commitment to the Dayton Peace Agreement and expressed support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition, they supported the judicial institutions of BiH, but also the use of certificates.
Apart from Russia and representatives of Panama and Pakistan, the OHR work was criticized, but pointed out that they support the Dayton Peace Agreement. Most members supported the work of the OHR.
In the previously Russia referred the request, and to the proposal of the Presidency of BiH Željka Cvijanović, to hold the session of the UN Security Council, which was rejected. Finally, an agreement was reached on a closed meeting of representatives of the member states on the topic of the situation in BiH.
