The European Football Union (UEFA) has decided to lift part of the sanctions against Russia, allowing young Russian footballers to participate in the UEFA development tournament.
As the “RIA Novosti” agency reports, the Russian U-16 national team will play in Minsk from April 12 to 18, together with the teams of Belarus and Kazakhstan.
The fourth participant of the tournament will be determined later within the “UEFA Assist” program.
Although Russia did not participate in the draw for the European qualifiers for the World Cup, the Russian Football Federation believes that there is a possibility that their national team will be included later.
