– My client pleaded not guilty to the charge of terrorism – Jakob Buch-Jepsen, the 18-year-old’s lawyer, told the court. The defendant pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of aggravated assault.
– He admits that he threw two bombs, but he did not throw them at the embassy – said Buch-Jepsen, while his client, dressed in a white T-shirt, watched.
According to Swedish media, the young man was recruited by the Swedish criminal network Foxtrot while he was in high school.
The same teenager is also on trial in Sweden for the shooting at the Israeli embassy in Stockholm on October 1, 2024.
The second defendant, dressed in a black jacket, pleaded not guilty to all counts of the indictment, reports AFP.
