U.S. President Donald Trump pointed out during the address of the media that the future peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine will include the exchange of territories.
Trump stated that it was a territories for which the fight has been conducted for three and a half years, and that both parties expect certain territorial concessions.
“We’ll get something back, we’ll replace something. There will be the exchange of territories that will use both side,” Trump said.
Although not specified which specific territories will be involved in exchange, currently Russian forces control the Krima, Donbas peninsula, as well as parts of the Lugans, Zaporoška and the Heronsic Area.
His statement comes on the eve of the announced meeting of Trump, Zellenic and Putin in the United Arab Emirates, who could be key to resolving the conflict.
