The main cause for the protest is the recent finding of 31 children in inadequate conditions that caused public concern and pointed to systematic omissions in children’s protection.
The organizers point out how this gathering is not only in terms of just one case, but for broader dialogue on social problems, including neglecting children, peer and family violence and the general insecurity and non-functionality of institutions.
The aim of the gathering is to open a dialogue, proposing concrete solutions and encouraging civic solidarity and joint action, organizers said.
They invited all citizens, social activists, non-governmental organizations and informal movements to join and together send a strong message to the injustice and neglect of children’s rights will not pass without a reaction.
