The opening of one of the most important monuments of Islamic architecture in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as confirmed by the Vacuffin Directorate of the Islamic Community in BiH, will attend numerous guests, believers and citizens, and the presence of the High Representatives of the Islamic Community, cultural and religious institutions, and domestic and international guests.
In addition to the name colorful, this mosque also carries the names of Behram-beg, city, atik, an honorable mosque.
The renovation is fully funded by the General Directorate of the Vakuf of the Republic of Turkey, through the Vacuation Directorate of the Islamic Community in BiH. Thanks to that, the oldest mosque in Tuzla was returned, which reminds its original shape.
The restoration protocol was signed in 2017. years, and the works began in 2018. years.
In addition to the Vacuation Directorate, the works followed the experts of the Institute for the Protection of the Monuments of BiH. Reconstruction was a distinctly complex and demanding process – from investigative works and design, all the way to the performance itself. Today, the colorful mosque is adorned with the rich wall motifs, which, in addition to spiritual significance, leave a strong visual impression and reminded of the rich cultural and historical heritage.
The beautiful interior of Behram-Beg’s mosque testifies to her exceptional artistic and architectural value. Relief and painted decoration, one of the main features of the pseudomour style in the colorful mosque, is one of the most beautiful in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
One of the characteristics of Behram-beg a mosque that reminds of the Maurish architecture are hovered arches above the windows and on the porch. Such arcs are characteristic of Islamic Spain, while the beige reddish facade in the form of lines is typical of the Momelučko era of medieval Cairo.
The reconstruction project included a number of interventions: the air-like roof and the authentic domple, the renovation of the original decoration on minars and facades, constructive walls, interior imaging, as well as the arrangement of harems and outdoor space.

The colorful mosque is located on a treasure exchanging in Atik Mahali in Tuzla. The first time is mentioned in 1548. years, and it is considered to be built after 1533.
