Luka Doncic’s house in Dallas was broken into on Friday, numerous American media reports citing their sources.
Luka immediately filed a report with the police, and the investigation is ongoing.
“No one was home at the time and fortunately for Luke and his family, everyone is safe,” said Lara Beth Ziger, his business manager.
This all comes after the NBA recently issued a warning to its players about a wave of break-ins at athletes’ homes across America.
Doncic, by the way, is on break due to a calf injury, and will be out of action for at least a month.
Dallas will play 17 games in that period, which means that for the first time in his career, Dončić will play less than 65 games in one season (not counting the 2019/2020 season, which was shortened due to the coronavirus pandemic).
Because of this, the Slovenian will not be in the competition for the MVP award, where he was among the favorites in the previous part of the season.
