At the 106th session of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Government, chaired by Prime Minister Nezir Pivić, it adopted the Decision on the approval and allocation of funds following a public call for subsidizing tourism infrastructure and superstructure projects in 2025, for which a record 1,168,469 KM was allocated this year.
Within the Ministry of Veteran Affairs, a decision was made to allocate 1,233,900 KM, mainly for the payment of one-time financial assistance to users of cantonal subsistence benefits and users of personal and family disability benefits from the ZDK area.
– It is about the amount of 1,135,400 KM, which means that each individual will receive 100 KM, and there are a total of 11,354 beneficiaries. The second decision refers to the payment of a one-time monetary compensation to persons with special merits from the area of ZDK, for which KM 98,500 was allocated. The individual amount for 197 users is 500 KM – said Prime Minister Nezir Pivić.
The Ministry of Labor, Social Policy and Refugees made conclusions on the approval of funds to individuals for treatment and improvement of living conditions in the amount of 50,705 KM. From the position of the Prime Minister’s Office, conclusions were made on the approval of funds to competitors from the ZDK area who won medals at the Balkan Taekwondo Championship in Bulgaria.
At the proposal of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, the ZDK Government approved the allocation of funds to the Municipality of Tešanj for the co-financing of projects in the amount of 54,513 KM.
Today, the Cantonal Government also adopted the Information on the implementation of the budget for the first nine months of this year. Incomes and receipts amounted to 450,084,376 KM, which represents 76.13 percent of the planned amount for that period, while expenditures amounted to 408,535,984 KM, or 80 percent of the plan. Court judgments were executed in the amount of 1,500,000 KM, and the repayment of the loan amounts to 7,012,709 KM.
– The most important thing is that we have a liquid and stable budget. The implementation of the budget is at a satisfactory level, which shows that the Government of the ZDK and all the ministries treated the budget very domestically and will continue to do so in the future. It is important to take into account possible savings, but also the expenditure of funds, which brings new values - emphasized Prime Minister Pivić.
The Prime Minister also announced the budget rebalancing, which is the result of redistribution in the past period and salary increases through amendments to collective agreements. The rebalance will be adopted at one of the next sessions of the Government and the Assembly of the ZDK, as well as the Budget for 2026 in the amount of 740,889,300 KM.
– The budget for next year is slightly higher than this year’s. We expect that the income side will be higher, and we can subsequently change it through rebalancing – explained Prime Minister Pivić.
