Victor Wembanyama stood out with 39 points and a key rebound in the final seconds, and the home San Antonio Spurs won over the Minnesota Timberwolves 126-123.
It’s San Antonio ended a streak of five losses against Minnesota and won despite a record 55 points from the Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards.
Spurs are at halftime led by 25 pointsbut Edwards’ shot with 3:28 left gave the Wolves a 110-108 lead. The teams are then more changed leadership three times and were tied twice more before Wembanyama hit a free throw and grabbed a rebound to give San Antonio the win.
Jamal Murray scored seven of his 42 points in the final 130 seconds of the game Denver won away Washington.
Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 30 points, Peyton Watson added 21 and Aaron Gordon nearly recorded a triple-double with 11 assists, 10 rebounds and eight points for Denver as the Nuggets have won four straight and six of their last seven.

Drew Timme added a record 21 points off the bench, and LeBron James added 20 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. The Lakers lost for the ninth time in their last 14 games.
