Last night in Sarajevo, a solemn award ceremony was held for the awarding of the “100 biggest in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region”, which gathered more than 400 guests from business, institutional and diplomatic life in the Hills Hotel.
38 years ago, the “100 largest” project was born from a simple but great idea – to objectively, based on business results, highlight companies that, with their work and achievements, support the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
From then until today, this tradition has turned into the largest and most reliable business project in the country and region, which promotes transparency, success and responsibility in business.
Awards were given to companies that achieved the best results in 2024 in terms of revenue, profit, export and number of employees in three categories – large, medium and small companies.
Bingo – the largest and most successful employer
The title of absolute leader in Bosnia and Herzegovina is held by the company Bingo doo Tuzla, which is in first place in terms of total revenue (2.18 billion KM), profit (146.5 million KM) and number of employees (8,413) in 2024.
This impressive result confirms Bingo as a symbol of domestic strength and the most successful business system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which continuously expands its operations, employs and invests in the development of local communities.
In the category of medium-sized companies, awards were presented for the highest export results to the company Prevent Cables doo Tomislavgrad (59.7 million KM). ASA Finance dd Sarajevo was awarded 18.3 million KM for the highest profit.
Vision 100 – recognition for the leaders of the future
The special award “Vision 100” was awarded for projects, initiatives and business moves to banks, individuals, companies and institutions that are significant actors in strengthening and supporting the domestic economy.
In this way, their role in sustainability, innovation and support for local businesses and the local community, as well as in creating a positive economic environment, is highlighted. The winners of the “VISION 100” award demonstrated their ability to respond to challenges and achieve positive changes.
The Vision 100 award was given to:
- Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, for contributing to the strengthening of economic ties in the region;
- Ministry of Transport of Sarajevo Canton, for the construction of the Ilidža – Hrasnica tram line, the first expansion of the line since 1962;
- FIPA – Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Investments of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the promotion and improvement of the investment environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
- CC HBC BH doo Sarajevo, for a leadership role in sustainability
- Development Bank of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to support the economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina
- ASA BANKA dd Sarajevo, for the leader in the modernization of the financial sector and the initiator of changes in the development of the capital market
- ASA HOSPITAL, for the improvement of health system services
- Mirza Ustamujić, for the restructuring of the company Energoinvest and business results
- RCB Nanotehnologija doo Sarajevo, for the development of the patented technology of renewed carbon black (rCB) and the positioning of BiH on the global innovation map
- BLOOMTEQ, for the launch of the Blum Institute – the first institute for applied artificial intelligence in Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Alternativa doo, for the construction of a globally recognizable brand and the development of the modern industry of thermal insulation panels in Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Mozaik Foundation, zand ReUseChain.ba – the first digital B2B platform for trade in secondary raw materials in Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Irfan Čengić, Mayor of the Municipality of Stari Grad, for the development and promotion of the Municipality of Stari Grad as a center of cultural heritage, investment and sustainable development
- Planet Sarajevo, for innovation in culture
- Kulin World, for the KOCKA project – flexible, modular space for urban innovation and cultural connection
Awards were also given to the companies that ranked first according to the revenue achieved in their industry.
On behalf of the organizers, Poslovna novine and co-organizers of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was said that this project becomes a strong platform for connecting businessmen and institutions, and an important indicator of the economic potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this regard, they are proud that a large International Trade Fair – 100 EXPO was organized this year, which brought together almost 300 exhibitors from the entire region, including Germany and India.
The project was held under the high patronage of the member of the BiH Presidency, dr. Denis Bećirović, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, the President of the Federation of BiH Lidija Bradara and the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts and the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia as a partner country.
The awarding ceremony ended with a musical program and gathering of representatives of the business community, and the program of the 100 EXPO fair continues at the Hills Hotel in Sarajevo on Wednesday, October 22, and will last until 2 p.m.
