Karić said via social networks that the main project of the reconstruction of the southern stand has been completed.
It was also announced that the procedures will continue and that it is time to call for a tender for the execution of the works.
“We are looking forward to witnessing a new chapter in the history of the Grbavica stadium together with the fans and citizens of Sarajevo,” said the mayor.
The agreement on the construction of the south stand of the Grbavica stadium was signed on November 5 this year.
Magoda then pointed out that historical moments are being written for the Želje stadium.
“This is a dream that many dreamed, the construction of Jug at Grbavica Stadium is now becoming a reality. The Ministry of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton kept its word to FK Željezničar and we are proud of that.
We thank all participants who supported this project. In this way, we are writing historical moments for Grbavica stadium, which is much more than an ordinary sports facility.
