Miodrag Čolina, long-time player and former coach of the most successful BH. of the Izviđač handball club, died at the age of 63.

It was with great disbelief and sadness that we were all struck by the sad news that our longtime player, coach, handball fanatic and our big fan, our Miodrag Čolina “Čole” died suddenly at the age of 63.
“Cole”, as we affectionately called him, was registered for our club for the first time on December 7, 1979, together with Stanislava Mucić, Hama-“Samira” Konjhodžić, sisters Lukenda, Snježana and Dražena, Angela Petrović-Boras , M. Pejčinović…
The late “Cole” performed for our club from the 1979/1980 season. well everything until 1986/1987 season, with the exception of the 1982/1983 season, when he was serving his military service. After the war, the late “Cole” participated in the renewal of our and his Scouts and continued his playing career in it until 1998/1999. With the club, he won a handful of championship titles and winners of the HB Cup, BiH Cup, and played for Izviđač in the first historic international matches against RK Lovćen from Cetinje in the European City Cup.
When “Cole” stopped playing, he did not leave the club, but actively involved in his work, contributing to the work and progress of the club as a coach. As a coach, with extensive handball experience and human qualities, he was initially involved in the work of the Handball School, and later in the work of the Izvidač Handball Academy. He transferred his extensive handball experience and knowledge to many of our handball players and helped them develop and achieve their handball careers.
In addition to the work of the men’s club “Cole”, as a coach, also led the first team of ŽRK Ljubuški in the 2011/2012 season. and 2012/2013, with which he achieved notable results.
His handball love he also passed it on to his son Tonywho with our men’s team, in 4 seasons, won 3 championship titles of BiH and the title of winner of the BiH Cup. The success achieved by Toni was contributed by his father’s genes and love for handball.
Although there is great sadness that you are no longer with us, it is comforting that your Toni will continue on your path. Looking at Tony, “Little Chola”, we will also remember our old “Chola”.
“Cole”, thank you for the immeasurable contribution you made to the work and success of our Scouts and yours. Thank you for the love you have had all this time for handball, your Boy Scout and your Ljubuško.
It is a great sadness that we will no longer see you in our hall, but we are comforted that by evoking the successes of our Scout, we will also evoke memories of You, and Your Tony will remind us of You.
