Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday that Moscow considers France’s agreement to supply fighter jets to Ukraine regrettable, saying it does not contribute to peace.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Monday that he had signed a letter of intent with France to purchase up to 100 Rafale F4 fighter jets.
Some of the fighter jets could come directly from French stockpiles, while most would be part of Ukraine’s long-term plan to increase its fleet to 250 fighter jets, including US F-16s and Swedish Gripens.
